Super high hunt drive. Extremely high food and moderate toy (tug) drive, will work for either but currently prefers food. We actually love when a dog is both but if I had to pick one for this work it would be food. When you’re searching 40 hotel rooms or 20 apartments with multiple alerts, food is quicker and requires less energy waste from the dog. Again, we LOVE toy drive but food drive is great too. Our dogs are not deprived of food in any way and are never forced to work. If this isn’t their favorite game even on a full stomach, then it’s not the game for them. Sammie is all business all of the time with a super-fast and confident alert. She is extremely in tune with her handler and very agile. Sammie is one of 8 pups from our bed bug detection K9Lilah. We kept five, needing three, and assuming a couple wouldn’t make the cut. All 8 pups turned out to be amazing workers. Five are certified in Bed Bug Detection and three are in search & rescue training. We decided to sell Sammie because she is the most compliant of all pups with a fast alert and a non-testing personality. She just wants to please all of the time. We want to provide the best and put dogs out there that can go to a new or experienced handler with ease. These pups were genetically planned and trained to handle our current workload, which is heavy, and to be the right size and temperament for bed bug detection.
Dam is an active bed bug detection K9 for Black Diamond Pest Control (K9Lilah).
Sire is a cadaver dog for the Springfield TWP Fire Department and Black Swamp SAR in Ohio with multiple National Certifications in land and water (K9Darwin).
House broken, crate trained, rides quietly, travels well, and stands quietly for nail trim, good with dogs, cats, kids, environments of all kinds and noises. Raised in a home (crate) and kennel environment since birth and has been in training since 3 days old. Great disposition. Extremely high drive. Minimal obedience but very eager to please and easy to train. Has had real world bed bug detection experience. This pup thinks that finding bed bugs is the best game on the planet and searches without request on or off lead. (additional videos available). 1-2 week training course included.
